There is a committed and thriving patient group at the practice. They hold regular meetings at the surgery at which the practice manager and one of the partners is present.
- To offer opinions in a constructive manner and to put forward ideas on behalf of other patients.
- To improve the provision of health care.
- To improve communication between surgery, patients and the wider community about matters concerning the surgery and health in general.
- To provide assistance in development of new services.
- To encourage a spirit of self help and support amongst patients to improve their health and social care.
They have been involved previously in the interview and appointment process of our practice manager and completed numerous survies for the practice.
We are very lucky to have them.
If you are interested in joining our patient group please click on the link opposite. There is obligation and it is fine to attend the next meeting to understand more about what happens, please contact our Patient Group Chair Sylvia Pledger if you are interested.
Mrs Sylvia Pledger outside of her work on the patient group has set up a Bereavement Group, this has been very successful and now 20+ people are part of the group. She has also raised money to support the ongoing provision of the Citizens Advice Bereau at the practice. She has been a wonderful supporter of both the Practice and the community.
